It is generally reviewed and adjusted every week.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #0092bc;\"><strong>Why do I need them?<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">These tools keep us organised and give us something to aim for.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Each provides a framework to work with and helps us avert issues like a cash deficit.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">They also allow us to take advantage of new opportunities, enabling us to grow our business and wealth.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Banks, lenders, and grant providers will also request you provide a budget and cash flow forecast when applying for funds to support working capital, purchasing assets, and project grant applications.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #0092bc;\"><strong>How do I put them together?<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Putting together a budget and a cash flow forecast can seem complicated and daunting. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">But it doesn\u2019t have to be.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">It would be best to have a framework, some boundaries, and a template to complete.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Here are some things you should focus on:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Start with what products and services you sell \u2013 how many, what frequency, and what price?<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Think about what expenses you have \u2013 things like staff, rent, subscriptions, travel, utilities, office expenses<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Brake down the cash flow forecast by week and your budget by month and year<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Have a checklist of what to include and a list of assumptions you used<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Use a budget and cash flow forecast template:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li>enter all income and expense categories for the year by month.
